Victoria
Lodge No. 16 recently received a request for information
from someone who had in their possession a Masonic
"brick", which they described thusly:
The face contains several Masonic symbols, my
great grandfather's name, and the words "Victoria Lodge
No 16 Sherbrooke Canada". The back has a paper label
which reads "Alexander Simpson raised 1877".

As you
may, or may not know, Shefford Lodge No. 18 is
proceeding harmoniously toward Amalgamation with Brome
Lake Lodge No. 35 and will result in the Lodge going
into "darkness" at their last scheduled Regular
Communication on May 1, 2006.
While this process is naturally one of sadness, and
will mark the end of a long and distinguished history of
Freemasonry spanning 152 years in the Town of Waterloo,
Shefford Lodge wishes to also make the occasion one of a
"celebration" of her accomplishments and good deeds.
