Victoria Lodge Celebrates 150 Years of History
In 1856, Most Worshipful Brother W.M. Wilson, Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Canada, West, granted petitioners J.A. Walton, A. Lindsay, J.J. Boyd, S. Mann, A. McLaughlin, H. Smith, and R. Smith the dispensation to form a new Lodge in the town of Sherbrooke (population 3400). On June 4th of that year, Victoria Lodge was instituted. It was with these historic events in mind that brethren gathered on September 30th 2006 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Victoria Lodge No. 16.

An Historic Presentation
The Masonic Foundation of Quebec is pleased to announce that Parks Canada and the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada will unveil the plaque commemorating the national historic significance of the MONTREAL MASONIC MEMORIAL TEMPLE in Room 702, 2295 Saint-Marc Street, Montreal, Quebec on Saturday October 14, 2006, at noon.

Newly Renamed, Prince of Lebanon Lodge to Host Table Lodge
On October 18 2006 the Most Worshipful Brother, John A. Prosnick, Grand Master of Quebec, will be in attendance when Beaver Lodge No. 90 of District #3 officially becomes "Prince of Lebanon Lodge".
Ten days later the lodge will be hosting a Table Lodge to celebrate the occasion and help raise funds to assist with the roof repairs for the Masonic Memorial Temple. The Table Lodge has been officially sponsored by the District Deputy Grand Masters of all four Montreal districts and we join with them in encouraging all masons to attend.

Dr. Arthur Porter to be Honoured
The Craft will honour one of its most distinguished brethren, Dr. Arthur Porter, at a special gala event to be held Saturday, November 25, 2006 at the Masonic Memorial Temple. Organized by Dorchester Lodge No.4, the banquet will pay tribute to Dr. Porter, his accomplished and distinguished professional career in healthcare, and noble effort as a prominent member of our craft. The event will be attended by provincial and municipal dignitaries and is open to all members of our Craft as well. Tickets to the event are available for $100, with 8 seated per table.

Bedford District Turkey Dinner
I am encourging you all to attend the Bedford District Dinner on Oct. 21 at the Memorial, Stanbridge East, Qc. A home cooked turkey dinner with all the trimmings will be served just like the one that your Grand Mother use to make, along with a side of roast beef plus assorted home cooked pies compliments of Owl's Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.
